More than 5,000 students have received their early offers for an undergraduate spot at The Australian National University (ANU) in 2023. ANU Vice-Chancellor Professor Brian Schmidt said the early offers give students additional certainty as they prepare to leave high school. "ANU offers one of the highest-quality undergraduate experiences in the world. It is wonderful that we have been able to offer more students places for 2023," Professor Schmidt said. There are alternative pathways available for students who did not receive an early offer to study at ANU in 2023.

More than 5,000 students have received their early offers for an undergraduate spot at The Australian National University (ANU) in 2023.

The University saw a 14 per cent increase in applications for undergraduate programs compared to last year.

"I want to congratulate all these students on their offer to study at ANU. These last two years were tough for many, so it's been great welcoming students back to our campus. I look forward to meeting our newest cohort of students in 2023."

The University's sector-leading changes to its admissions processes mean students' applications are not only assessed on their academic results, but also their extra-curricular achievements and personal circumstances.

ANU welcomes students from different backgrounds and with various experiences. There are alternative pathways available for students who did not receive an early offer to study at ANU in 2023. More information is available online.

QUICK STATS:

  • ANU will make 5,041 early offers for places in 2023.

  • This is up from 4,562 early offers for places in 2022.

  • There were 6,954 applications for places in this year's round compared to 6,109 last year.
