  • Independent research towards a PhD as part of the “Boundaries of Cosmopolis” (1870-1930) project with a desired focus on periodical culture and further research related tasks, based on extensive archival work in Berlin
  • Conference and workshop organisation
  • Help with the organisation of the 2026 summer session of the Harvard Institute of World Literature
  • Helping with funding applications
  • Anforderungen

  • An MA completed by October 2023 in English literature and/or comparative literature and a proven expertise in late 19th and/or early 20th literature
  • Near-native English
  • A sound knowledge of German in speech and writing (B2 or above)
  • Editorial and archival experience
  • Higher education management experience, PR- and knowledge exchange experience
  • Independent work style, communication and team skills
  • Desirable further assets:

  • An interest in interdisciplinary research
  • Publishing experience
  • Experience with third-party funding applications
  • Good IT skills
