The division Psychology of Digitalisation of the Institute of Psychology at University of Bern is looking for a motivated PhD student starting July 1st, 2023.
The division's main research interests are 1) Behavior research methods and meta-science, 2) Media use and media effects, 3) IT security and privacy.
This doctoral position is part of the research project “Informational self- determination in digital health apps” conducted in collaboration with the division Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy (Prof. Thomas Berger). In this project, the division Psychology of Digitalisation aims to develop and evaluate new approaches to improve transparency of and control over the processing of sensitive data in digital health apps. The division Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy aims to offer patients fully anonymous digital health apps and study their preferences, as well as the clinical use of such apps in a clinical trial. The doctoral position in the division Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy is advertised separately.
The project duration is 4 years.
