Job Description:
We seek a highly motivated student to join our "Division of Advanced Composite Materials" team at the Institute of Fundamental Technological Research, Polish Academy of Sciences (IPPT PAN) as a PhD candidate. The successful candidate will work on analytical modeling (nonlocal models), Molecular Dynamics (MD) simulations, and experimental testing of small-scale structures. The modeling and experimentation include quasi-static, dynamic, and instability problems.
In addition to working on cutting-edge research, the doctoral candidate will have the unique opportunity to develop desirable knowledge and skills for a promising scientific career. The candidate can participate in interdisciplinary research work as part of the project and the Doctoral School. The working environment is supportive, and the team comprises experienced researchers in the field.
The successful candidate will receive an appealing monthly salary of approximately 5k PLN (net) for three years. The hiring is contingent upon passing the entrance exam in late June 2023.
