Your tasks

The Chair of Applied Microeconomics (Prof. Stefan Buehler) at the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland, is inviting applications for a PhD Position in Economics. The chair is affiliated with the Institute of Economics. The focus of our research is on microeconomics, in particular industrial organization, game theory, antitrust law and economics, and the microeconomics of sustainability.

Your profile
  • The successful candidate has acquired (or is about to complete) a Master's degree in Economics or a related field with excellent grades.
  • A demonstrated interest in at least one of our main fields of research is required.
  • Fluency in English is essential, and a good command of German is desirable.
  • The successful candidate is expected to enroll in the Graduate PhD Programme in Economics and Finance at the University of St. Gallen and may participate in the Swiss Program for Beginning Doctoral Students at the Study CenterGerzensee
