Offer DescriptionPhD Opportunity: Molecular Sensors as Cutting-Edge Contrast Agents for 19F Magnetic Resonance Imaging
Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and talented individual to pursue
a Ph.D. in the exciting field of molecular imaging. The successful candidate
will join the research team of Tomasz Krawczyk
(
https: // orcid.org/0000-0002-4862-0079)
in investigating the development
and application of molecular sensors as cutting-edge contrast agents for 19F
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI). This project aims to push the boundaries
of imaging technology by exploring the potential of novel molecular probes for
enhanced imaging capabilities and improved diagnostic accuracy.
Research Project: In this project, we will focus on the design and synthesis of novel molecular sensors for 19F MRI to provide clinicians and researchers with improved tools for visualizing and quantifying molecular events within living organisms.
The successful candidate will be involved in the following aspects of the project:
Design and synthesis of molecular sensors: You will contribute to the development of novel molecular sensors capable of selectively respond to specific chemical or biological event. These sensors will be designed to exhibit strong 19F MRI signals, allowing for precise detection and imaging.
Characterization and optimization: You will utilize a range of analytical techniques to evaluate the performance of the molecular sensors, including NMR spectroscopy and HR-MS Optimization of the sensors' properties and imaging parameters will be a key focus to achieve optimal contrast enhancement and sensitivity.
You will collaborate with biologists to investigate the toxicity of novel agents with a focus on validating the sensors' potential for clinical translation.
Data analysis and interpretation: You will be responsible for analyzing relaxation data and DFT computations. The interpretation of results will contribute to elucidating the relevance of obtained sensors in medical diagnostics.
How to Apply: Interested candidates are invited to submit the following documents in PDF format to [email protected]:
The position will remain open until filled. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview and may be asked to provide additional information or references.
Note: This Ph.D. opportunity is subject to final approval and funding availability.
