Junior Fellow In Artificial Intelligence Applied To The Humanities

PSL University has been especially committed to developing research and education in artificial intelligence and data science over the last years.
This policy shows through the 3IA PRAIRIE Institute and PariSanté Campus, as PSL is one of its founding members, but also the ENS-PSL Data Science Center, the Dauphine Ditigtal Initiative, and the graduate Data Science Program.
To support this policy while strengthening its multidisciplinary identity, and thanks to its leading research institutions in the humanities and social sciences (Collège de France-PSL, Dauphine-PSL, ENC-PSL, ENS-PSL, EPHE-PSL), PSL intends to hire a junior fellow in Artificial Intelligence applied to the humanities and social sciences for five years.
This position is meant for a young PhD holder in the humanities and/or social sciences who wishes to pursue a high-level research career while investing in teaching and the development of original courses.
Teaching artificial intelligence and data science has to do with all disciplinary fields and institutions at PSL. The graduate Data Science Program oversees most initiatives at graduate and PhD levels, but undergraduate programs must give access to strong skills in data science and artificial intelligence too.
The person recruited will have to be able to adapt to a large audience, that includes non-specialists, and to teach in English.
PSL offers an exceptional environment for research in the humanities as well as in data science and artificial intelligence.
Joining PSL means contributing to research at the highest international level, both in the core fields of AI and its applications in the humanities and social sciences (economics, finance, management, sociology, political science, history, linguistics, etc.).
- Teaching / The expected service is of 100 hours of lectures per year, calculated based on the time spent facing students. A discharge will be applied for the preparation of courses.
- Research / The person recruited will be attached to one of the institutions of PSL. He/she is offered to give wishes/suggestions via the application form to be downloaded on this page (PSL institution of interest to you, specific laboratory or department, research team, researchers with whom you could work, etc.). Suggestions may also be made to candidates by the admission committee.
