Renewable contract : Oui
Level of qualifications required : PhD or equivalent
Fonction : Temporary scientific engineer
Level of experience : From 5 to 12 years
ContextThe Inria FUN research group investigates solutions to enhance programmability, adaptability and reachability of FUN (Future Ubiquitous Networks) composed of wireless devices, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), connected vehicles. Limited resources, and high mobility evolving in distrusted environments characterize the objects that compose FUN. They communicate in a wireless way. To be operational and efficient, such networks have to follow some self-organizing rules. Indeed, components of FUN have to be able in a distributed and energy-efficient way to discover the network, self-deploy, communicate, self- structure in spite of their hardware constraints while adapting the environment in which adapting the environment in which they evolve. For additional information on the FUN research group, please see https:// team.inria.fr/fun/
You will integrate a dynamic team of international scientific experts in the field of IoT (https:// team.inria.fr/fun/)
You will work on emerging research activities with recognized international IoT and cybersecurity actors.
You will work in a stimulating and pleasant work environment (transport participation (50%), on-site catering, teleworking, leave and special leave of absence (45 days), video conference equipment, technical laboratory for experimentation ...)
You can benefit from quality training adapted to your needs and skills, whether technical, methodological or linguistic.
In addition to improving your technical skills, Inria offers you the opportunity to develop your entrepreneurial skills by participating in awareness-raising events and training courses on the creation of start-ups (start-up horizon, intellectual property training, hackAthec, etc.). https: // www. inria.fr/fr/inria-startup-studio
For international candidates, our administrative services will help you with the various administrative procedures (visa, residence permit, social security, housing, bank, etc.)

Missions :
The engineer will develop approaches to the coexistence and interaction of different communication technologies in the vehicular context. In particular, VLC, 802.11 and V2X will be considered. The algorithms will be developed in simulation (based on simulation tools such as NS3) and when possible a validation will be carried out on prototypes/test benches on the basis of a Software Defined approach. A vulnerability and susceptibility study will be conducted and the postdoc will have to generate different denial of service or packet injection attacks and test/validate the robustness of the multi- technology approach against the different attacks generated. The metrics to consider for robustness are maintaining connectivity, packet loss, latency. Decisions to switch from one technology to another will be based on the optimal approaches developed by Lamih with a view to the energy consumption of the system which must be minimized.
Collaboration :
The recruited person will be supervised by Valeria Loscri (https:// researchers.lille.inria.fr/~loscri/home.html) at Inria Lille and will be co-supervised by Virginie Deniau and Christophe Gransart at University of Gustave Eiffel. Moreover, there will be a constant interaction with the LAMIH Team at UPHF (Valenciennes) and Transalley.
The recruited person will be in charge to develop innovative solutions in the context of wireless vehicular communication, based on the interaction of different communication technologies in order to develop a robust and resilient to different attacks vehicular framework. It will setup a set of experiments to prove the advanced robustness, resilience and real-time response, based on advanced AI/ML solutions developed in collaboration with the LAMIH team.
