Offer Description

This competition involves research in the area of environmental engineering, mining and energy, chemical sciences, chemical engineering, in particular, in the field of the environmental chemistry, experience in the preparation, analysis and determination of chemicals of emerging concern, biomarkers in environmental samples like wastewater and sewage sludge, preparation of publications of results in journals and their presentation at international conferences.

Skills/Qualifications

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS The candidate is required to have a doctoral degree in engineering and technical, or natural sciences and environmental science in the discipline of environmental engineering, mining and energy; chemical sciences; chemical engineering; documented scientific achievements (publications in journals from the JCR database) in the field of the environmental chemistry, biotechnology, in particular in the field related to use chromatographic techniques in the analysis of chemicals of emerging concern in environmental matrix; knowledge of LC-MS/MS, GC-MS/MS, IGC, ILC, SPE research techniques; Development and validation of analytical methods for the determination of biomarkers in wastewater and sludge sewage samples using UHPLC device coupled with an Triple Quad Detector, chemical analysis, interpretation of data, interlaboratory tests, statistical analysis. Participation in manuscript preparation. Discussion of result. Presentation on conferences.

Specific Requirements

  • a doctoral degree in engineering and technical, or natural sciences and environmental science in the discipline of environmental engineering, mining and energy; chemical sciences; chemical engineering a PhD degree in the year of employment in the project or within 7 years before 1 January of the year of employment in the project16. This period may be extended by a time of long-term (in excess of 90 days) documented sick leaves or rehabilitation leaves granted on account of being unfit to work. In addition, the period may be extended by the number of months of a child care leave granted pursuant to the Labour Code and in the case of women, by 18 months for every child born or adopted, whichever manner of accounting for career breaks is preferable; knowledge of the English language at the level of at least B-2; documented scientific achievements (publications in journals from the JCR database) in the field of preparation and analysis of environmental samples; knowledge of LC-MS/MS, GC-MS/MS, SPE; organizational achievements; active participation in conferences and symposia; active participation in research projects; predispositions for academic work.
