Description
This project will characterise the delivery of nucleic acids to cells using three-dimensional (3D) cell culture models. Different tumour cell lines cultured in 3D will be targeted for delivery using polymers developed in-house. Advanced microscopy techniques to image and observe the differences between 3D and 2D culture, including changes in cell cycle analysis, gene expression, signal transduction, cell proliferation, cell morphology, cell-cell interactions and drug response.

Applicants are required to demonstrate that theyhave met the requirements of the University Policy on: AdequateResearch Preparation and any otherrequirements for admission of the University, and (a) have a bachelor's degreeof this University or equivalent qualification; or (b) have previouslyundertaken work, of a sufficiently high standard, towards a higher degree byresearch in this or another approved institution but not have submitted it forany degree AND have completed an appropriate PhD research proposal.
Prior to enrolment, all applicantsare required to demonstrate that they have met the Postgraduate Research LanguageRequirements.
