What that looks like day to day: For Broadway Celebrates Juneteenth in Times Square, I got to meet and help interview Black artists on Broadway for social content. Throughout the week of the Jimmy Awards, I captured photo and video content of the nominees rehearsing for the celebration, having dinner at Sardi’s, talkbacks with Broadway creative teams and performers, on the way to see MJ the Musical, and seeing themselves on a time square billboard for the first time. During the day of The Jimmy Awards, I helped take the two student reporters on a tour of WABC in midtown and helped capture their experience. I also helped record video content of interviews that occurred on the Jimmy Award red carpet; the interviewees consisted of Jimmy Alumni, current and past Broadway stars, and sponsors.
