The Algebra Group of the Mathematics Department at TU Darmstadt, Germany invites applications for a
Research Assistant/Doctoral Researcher (all genders) – 75 %The position is available from April 1, 2023 for a period of up to three years.
Tasks:
The position is based in Arithmetic Algebraic Geometry with Prof. Timo Richarz and is expected to work closely with Dr. Konstantin Jakob.
Candidates will take part in the research activities of the Algebra group, and are expected to work on research projects in the (geometric) Langlands program. This includes for example
Funds are available to participate in summer schools and conferences and to organize seminars and workshops on site. Close collaboration with the Algebra Group, the Collaborative Research Center CRC326 - GAUS, and the ERC Grant Motives and the Langlands program is expected.
Required Qualifications:
Candidates with an MSc in mathematics or a related field should have well- founded knowledge of modern algebraic geometry, (geometric) representation theory or similar expertise.
Opportunity for further qualification (doctoral dissertation) is given. The fulfillment of the duties likewise enables the scientific qualifications of the candidate.
