  • Your duties
  • Compulsory dissertation project in the thematic context of the systems sciences (this must be documented as soon as possible by admission to the doctoral programme and the conclusion of a supervision agreement)
  • Participation in research projects and their initiation
  • Courses and supervision of students
  • Participation in university self-administration as well as in organisational tasks of the institute
  • Your Profile
  • Completed master's degree in environmental systems science or a related subject
  • Knowledge of systems science research and one or more of the following: Equation- and agent-based modeling, traffic simulation, neural networks, data and text mining, empirical social research
  • Very good knowledge of English required
  • Computer affinity / programming knowledge required
  • Experience in the conception and implementation of research projects (desirable)
  • Publication activity (desirable)
  • Ability to carry out independent research work
  • Strong team and organizational skills
  • High commitment and motivation for scientific work
  • Personal and social skills in working in international and interdisciplinary teams
  • Benefits

    The minimum salary as stated in the collective agreement and according to the classification scheme is EUR 3.058,60 gross/month (for full-time employment). This minimum salary may be higher due to previous employment periods eligible for inclusion and other earnings and remunerations.
