  • Your duties

  • Writing a dissertation in the area of the underlying master's or diploma program with an ethical focus; desirable in the academic subject of ethics and social studies/social ethics
  • Participation in the institute's third-party funded and other research projects in the field of Digital Transformation (especially in the preparation of highly competitive English language project proposals)
  • Independent research activity (scientific publication activity, lecture activity, etc.)
  • Collaboration in research and teaching projects of Univ.-Prof. Dr. Gremsl (social ethics, ethics of digital change and technology)
  • Participation in the field of excellence Smart Regulation
  • Participation in the ethics laboratory of the University of Graz
  • Teaching own autonomous courses and participate in the teaching and examination activities of the institute
  • Support of students
  • Participation in organizational and administrative tasks as well as in evaluation measures
  • Your Profile

  • Completed diploma or master's degree in the field of Humanities or Catholic Theology
  • Above-average (social) ethical knowledge, especially in the field of ethics and digitalisation (evidenced by at least an advanced and almost completed master's degree in applied ethics, or an advanced and almost completed diploma degree in Catholic specialist theology or an advanced and almost completed master's teaching degree in Catholic religion)
  • Documented interest in ethical issues related to Digital Transformation
  • Experience in academic university operations (including initial teaching experience)
  • Experience and competence in proofreading English texts in accordance with academic standards
  • Excellent knowledge of German and English in spoken and written form (proven language level at C2)
  • Very good MS Office skills
  • Scientific curiosity, particularly in the field of ethics and digitalization, media ethics, business ethics
  • Independent, goal-oriented approach to work
  • Social skills and ability to work in a team evidenced by in-depth training and/or continuing education (desirable)
  • Benefits

    The minimum salary as stated in the collective agreement and according to the classification scheme is EUR 3.058,60 gross/month (for full-time employment). This minimum salary may be higher due to previous employment periods eligible for inclusion and other earnings and remunerations.
