ICIQ is committed to performing excellent research at the frontier of knowledge in the broad area of chemistry (Catalysis, Artificial Photosynthesis, Activation of Small Molecules, Photovoltaics, Functional Molecular Assemblies and Chemical Biology, from either theoretical or experimental perspectives). ICIQ is looking for a Talent officer to help our Institute to find excellent researchers and identify their training and development needs, especially at the PhD and post-doctoral level. The selected candidate will be entrusted with an ongoing quest to discover talent, build a strong employment brand and ensure great relationships with both applicants and employees across the world. The selected candidate will be responsible for setting clear points of evaluation and be able to demonstrate the degree of success achieved for all learning actions. This successful candidate will directly report to ICIQ's HR Manager.

To excel as a Talent Officer we expect the selected candidate to be experienced in performing recruiting, employment branding, training & development activities in an academic scientific environment. The selected candidate should have an open mindset and strategic thinking to coach researchers in their career path and should have a steady commitment to help them finding success in & out of our Institute.


  • Identifying training and development needs for PhD and post-doctoral researchers
  • Designing and expanding training and development programs based on the needs of the organization oriented to PhDs and post-doctoral researchers.
  • Working in a team to produce programs that are satisfactory to all relevant parties in the organization, such as unit managers, Group Leaders, etc, producing training materials for in-house courses. Organization and management of Language courses and other courses offered at ICIQ
  • Lead the welcome plan for new staff.
  • Lead employment branding initiatives.
  • Being in charge of ICIQ Calls, recruitment processes for new positions, from publication of the position to recruitment, interviews, screening calls etc.) and support HR manager with related tasks.
  • Assist in employee retention and development.
  • Organize and/or attend career fairs, assessment centers or other events.
  • Use metrics to create reports and identify areas of improvement.
  • Participating in developing the HRS4R action plan & the Gender Equality Plan.
  • Process agreements with universities and the like for the mobility of external researchers visiting ICIQ.
  • Public offer in accordance with AGREEMENT GOV/241/2022, of November 22 nd.
