The Polymers Laboratory at EPFL (https:// lp.epfl.ch/) is a diverse, multidisciplinary research group. We are passionate about polymer science and apply tools borrowed from organic and polymer synthesis and biology combined with theory and modern materials analysis and characterization techniques both to unravel fundamental questions related to soft materials as well as to help address key societal challenges such as health, the environment and sustainable global development.
We have openings for prospective PhD students and post-doctoral researchers on various projects in the areas of “polymer surfaces & interfaces” and “polymer nanomedicine”. We are looking for highly motivated individuals with a strong background in organic and polymer chemistry and an interest in applying chemistry to prepare novel materials.
The research projects are located at the interface of chemistry, biology and materials science and involve both preparative organic and polymer synthesis and characterization, structural analysis and the investigation of materials properties. Most projects are part of national or international collaborations and offer the opportunity to interact with scientists active in different disciplines and/or cultures. We are particularly interested in candidates with a strong background in chemistry or materials science.
Applications should include a detailed CV, transcripts of diplomas as
