The Hector Research Institute of Education Sciences and Psychology is currently inviting applications for the following position:
a 1-year scientific staff member with a focus on software development (m/f/d, 100%, E 13 TV-L )
We are looking for a software developer to work on the development of an Android application for spoken language training. Currently the framework, including frontend and backend, has been set up. The main responsibility for this one-year position is to extend the functionalities of the system. The candidate is expected to start as soon as possible, preferably March/April 2023.
Our institute is a nationally and internationally leading research centre for research on education. The institute consists of a group of around 80 scientists tackling questions related to educational processes and educational attainment with a uniquely interdisciplinary approach combining knowledge from the fields of psychology, educational sciences, and many more (e.g., computational linguistics, neuroscience, sociology, artificial intelligence, etc.). Requirements Master graduates (or about to graduate) with a degree in either of the following fields: software engineering, computer science, computational linguistics, or natural language processing. Excellent programming skills with familiarity in languages and technologies such as Java, Kotlin, SQL, Docker, RESTful services and so on.
