BrainAndMore (BAM) lab focuses cutting edge genetic, molecular and mainly magnetic resonance imaging technology to understand diseases and support drug development efforts in the neuroscience field.
In this project you will be working on machine learning approaches for neuroimaging. From segmentation of vessel structures in brain data to more advanced tasks, ranging from data analysis of mice brain data to MRI of humans. According to the inclination of the applicant we can reshape towards more specific data and research questions.
This project will be carried out in cooperation with machine learning and AI scientists at Sano and its partners and by developing external collaborations in France and across Poland.
In this project we want to investigate different types of neuroimaging beyond connectomes, by using both structural and functional data.

We offer a fixed term contract for 40 hours per week for the duration of 4 years. This will be supported by an educational plan that includes attendance of courses and (international) meetings. The contract will include opportunities to participate in teaching and supervision of undergraduate and master students.
The salary, depending on relevant experience before the beginning of the employment contract, will be up to 7500 PLN gross per month (with a raise to 8000 PLN following a positive periodic review), based on a full-time contract (40 hours a week) for the duration of 4 years with private medical care and a sports card.
The student will be based in Poland, Krakow operating in conjunction with the Cyfronet supercomputing centre hosted by AGH. Visits to external institutions will form part of the PhD for purposes of strengthened supervision and training.
