Research Associate (PhD Student, m/f/d) in Public Economics

The Institute of Public Finance invites applications for the position of a Research Associate (PhD Student, m/f/d) in Public Economics (Salary Scale 13 TV-L, 75 %) starting May 1, 2023 (or later). The position is initially limited to a period of 2 years (with the possibility of extension). There is the opportunity to complete a PhD.

Your profile

Applicants should have completed a university science degree (diploma/master) in economics or business administration (or a related subject) or intend to complete such a degree within the next year. You should have a strong interest in policy-relevant topics and empirical research in the field of public economics. A strong interest in taxes is desirable. Advanced knowledge of econometric methods and excellent written and spoken English skills are expected. You should also have excellent organizational, social and communication skills as well as a high degree of motivation, flexibility and initiative.

The Institute for Public Finance at Leibniz University Hannover (LUH) conducts research in public finance with a focus on empirical tax research. We examine a variety of issues relevant to society, politics and business.
