Established in 1982, the Center for Research on Antisemitism (ZfA) at TU
Berlin is one of the world's leading institutes of its kind. At the heart of
its work is interdisciplinary basic research on antisemitism and its many
causes, manifestations and impacts in the past and present. This is
complemented by work in neighboring topics such as racism and antiziganism,
etc.
Working field:
ongoing research in the field of antisemitism research, especially on
developments in the Federal Republic of Germany and elsewhere in Europe
independent organization of the ZfA's public relations work
editorial supervision and conceptual development of the Jahrbuch für
Antisemitismusforschung
readiness to collaborate on third-party funding applications
active participation in the teaching, research and public relations work
of the ZfA
active academic publishing activity
regular teaching at bachelor's and master's level, also in English, with
special attention to the ZfA's degree program Interdisciplinary Research
on Antisemitism (https: // www. tu-

developing new teaching offers and formats
supervising students' final theses
active participation in academic self-governance and the institute's

Requirements:
we are looking for a contemporary historian, social scientist or cultural
scientist with proven expertise in the field of antisemitism in Germany
and Europe
a higher university degree (Diplom, Master or equivalent) in history,
social sciences or cultural studies as well as a doctorate in one of these
fields is required
at least three years of working experience after the completion of the
university degree in a full-time position in a scientific or universitary
employment
an innovative research profile on the above-mentioned topics is also
necessary
proven and thematically relevant teaching experience is desirable
proven and thematically relevant academic publication work is a
prerequisite
we are ideally looking for a person who has experience in public relations
and is willing to further develop our public relations work; experience in
policy advising would also be an advantage
very good written and spoken German and English are required; sufficient
language proficiency to teach classes in both German and English is
expected
in addition to outstanding professional expertise, excellent communication
and teamwork skills are required
