At the Department of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology at the Institute for Particle Acceleration and Electromagnetic Fields (TEMF) within the chair of Computational Electromagnetics (CEM), the position for a

Research Assistant/PhD (all genders)

is available as soon as possible for a duration of 3 years.

A very good scientific university degree (M.Sc. or equivalent) in electrical engineering and information technology, computational engineering, computer science or mathematics is required. Previous knowledge of electromagnetic fields and a strong background in the development and analysis of numerical methods for the discretization of partial differential equations is desirable.

In addition to scientific research, we expect active participation in the department's teaching activities, involvement in the supervision of theses, and administrative tasks at the department.

High proficiency in oral and written German and English is mandatory.

Opportunity for further qualification (doctoral dissertation) is given. The fulfillment of the duties likewise enables the scientific qualifications of the candidate.
