Research Assistant (Ph.D. Student) (all genders) for Exploring the

Logic of Neural Computing

initially limited for three years, starting a soon as possible.

Your Tasks:

This new PhD position aims to explore logic representation of AI algorithms, e.g., neural networks. Concrete topics of this position can include but not limited to:

  • Exploration of the conversion of neural networks into logic design
  • Extraction of the high-level descriptions of neural networks with the converted logic design
  • Exploration of various arithmetic operators and architectures to enhance the trustworthiness and efficiency of neural networks
  • Appropriate participation in administrative tasks, in teaching courses, and in supervising student work is expected.


  • A completed master degree in electrical engineering, computer science or other related disciplines
  • The final grade should not be worse than "Good"
  • Detailed knowledge of digital designs, and proficiency in C, Python, VHDL/Verilog programming languages
  • A good understanding of AI algorithms, e.g., neural networks, or is strongly interested in exploring AI algorithms
  • Opportunity for further qualification (doctoral dissertation) is given. The fulfillment of the duties likewise enables the scientific qualifications of the candidate.
