    Research Assistant (Pre-Doc)

    Level of employment: 75 % (30 hours per week)

    Minimum salary : € 32.116,-- per annum (gross); classification according to collective agreement: B1

    Limited to: 4 years

    Area of responsibility:

  • Participation in research activities of the department of personality psychology and psychological assessment
  • Conceptualization and conduction of research projects, including publication in scientific journals and presentation at scientific conferences
  • Writing of a dissertation in the field of personality psychology
  • Participation in teaching activities of the department, including supervision of Bachelor's and/or Master's theses
  • Participation in organisational tasks of the department
  • Requirements:

  • Master's degree in psychology
  • Strong interest in research questions related to personality psychology
  • Sound knowledge of research methods relevant for personality psychology
  • Knowledge in using relevant statistics software (e.g., R, Mplus)
  • Desired Skills:

  • Experience in research on loneliness, personality development, or personality and social relationships (e.g., in the context of a Master's thesis)
  • Experience in the conceptualization and publication of scientific manuscripts
  • Proactivity and high motivation for acquiring methodological and content knowledge
  • Communication and organizational skills
  • Fluency in English
  • Our offer:

    The employment contract stipulates a starting salary of € 2.294 gross per month (14 times a year; previous experience deemed relevant to the job can be recognized in accordance with the collective agreement).
