The post doctoral position is a part of the European TAKE-OFF (https: // takeoff-project.eu/) project dedicated to the conversion of CO2 to jet fuel. The goal of the present project is to convert the light olefins produced from CO2 to a range of branched alkanes by oligomerization.
The PhD student will be welcomed into the CASECO team (Le doctorant sera accueilli au sein de l'équipe CASECO (Catalyse et synthèse éco-compatible) of the UCCS (Unité de catalyse et de chimie du solide) at the University of Lille. UCCS research focuses on three particularly promising main themes, namely energy, environment and sustainable development. The CASECO team is particularly interested in the development of catalytic methods of interest in synthesis. The approaches developed allow the synthesis of molecules which range from small size and which are of interest in fine chemistry to polymer- type macromolecules. One of the team's historical specialties corresponds to the reaction of gaseous reagents of industrial interest (H2, CO, butadiene, ethylene, CO2 ...).Eligibility criteria
The project will include the preparation, characterization and evaluation of catalysts. The ideal candidate should therefore be proactive. Knowledge of organometallic chemistry and several spectroscopic techniques such as IR and NMR are required. Experience in inert atmosphere handling techniques (Schlenk line, glove box) would be a plus. Finally, a good level in English is required.Web site for additional job details
