  • The Côte d'Azur University proposes a post-doctoral contract in work and organizational psychology for three years in the the Laboratory of Clinical, Cognitive and Social Anthropology and Psychology (LAPCOS, UPR 7278). The post-doctoral researcher will develop projects for a " Centre des possibles (Possibility Center)" in collaboration with the Nice Côte d'Azur Metropolitan area for evaluating competencies and other qualities of high school students at risk for dropping out to help guide them in their vocational choices in relation to their competencies.

    The successful candidate must propose, develop, and adapt psychological tests (in French) for evaluating competencies and other relevant qualities of the target population and which are required for jobs in short supply in the Provence Côte d'Azur Region of France. S/he will also write elements for providing feedback in reports that will be delivered to the youth evaluated. The post-doc will develop and conduct research projects to evaluate the success of the actions of the center, the psychometric relevance of the tests and measures used, the acceptability of the center's actions by its users, and interventions used in the vocational guidance of the students. The research projects must be anchored in work and organizational psychology but will require collaborations with other disciplines in the social sciences (economics, education...) as well as with the various actors of the fields of application (high schools, school psychologists, services of the Nice Metropolitan area).

    Candidates must have a Ph.D. in work and organizational psychology obtained within the past three years. They must master psychometrics, advanced statistical methods (factor analysis, general linear model...), and be able to develop tests and evaluation tools based on competency models relevant for vocational success and on gamification and which take into consideration the acceptability of the proposed evaluations, based on the perspective of organizational justice. The candidate must be able to write academic articles in French and in English and to interact with ease with the various actors from the field mentioned above.

    Benefits

    Gross monthly pay: 2 871,22 €

    Eligibility criteria

    Ph.D. in work and organizational psychology obtained within the last 3 years (maximum).

    Excellent French and English speaking and writing skills.

Ability to interact with researchers from related fields (economics, education...) and to interact with high school youth, teachers, educational administrators and the coordinating team from the Nice Côte d'Azur Metropolitan council.
