Experimental measurements (CRDS mass spectrometry) Analysis of datasets from PIRATA and Tara-Microbiomes cruises in the whole equatorial and tropical Atlantic, to unral the carbonate cycles, in relation with continental inputs and upwelling as well as primary production. Analysis of pluri-annual/longer term variability with the presence of a Suess effect, as well as at smaller scales.
Analysis of seawater samples (isotopic composition of dissolved inorganic carbon (DIC)) in th tropical Atlantic.
Identification of watermasses and testing the relationship DIC-delta(13C) to better charcterize the evolution of watermasses influenced by continental input and upwelling, in particular with respect to primary production, which constrain the partial pressure of pCO2 in surface waters (in relatiion with the cruises: PIRATA and Tara-Microbiomes)
