  • - design and implementation of experiments - data analysis - writing of results - day-to-day supervision of PhD students and trainees

    The post-doctoral candidate will conduct experiments to study the properties of a system of a few hundred cold atoms in interactions induced by light near an atomic resonance. He will supervise a team of 2 PhD students in collaboration with the scientific leaders of the project.

    This project is part of the ERC ATARAXIA project aiming to study experimentally the many-body problem on model systems based on trapped cold atoms. The candidate will work in the Quantum Optics - Atoms team of the Charles Fabry laboratory of the Institut d'Optique, composed of 3 CNRS researchers and a dozen PhD students, post-docs and interns.

    Eligibility criteria

    Very good knowledge of atomic physics, theoretical and experimental quantum optics and laser manipulation of atoms techniques.
