The Institute of Veterinary Anatomy represents in research and teaching the macroscopic (gross) and microscopic anatomy as well as the embryology of domestic mammals. Currently, there are four research groups at the Institute, which work on research projects related to reproductive biology and endocrinology. The teaching tasks consist of providing basics in anatomy and histology for the veterinary medicine students of the first year course, as well as of deepening the already acquired basic knowledge in the block teaching of specific organ systems in the second and third year course. Furthermore, the Institute of Veterinary Anatomy participates in the clinical teaching for the fourth year course.

A doctoral position is available in the field of comparative reproductive endocrinology of domestic animals, focusing on canine reproduction. This role includes working on research projects, writing a dissertation and participating in anatomical dissection courses for veterinary medicine students.

Highly motivated graduate students with veterinary medicine degree and interested in reproductive endocrinology are welcomed to apply for this position.
