At the Helmholtz Institute Freiberg for Resource Technology (HIF), innovative technologies for the circulareconomy are developed to provide and use mineral and metal-bearing raw materials more efficiently and to recycle them in an environmentally friendly way.
The Department of Analytics is looking for a PhD Student (f/m/d) Geometallurgical modelling of stratiform / stratabound ore deposits.
Your tasks:The project is part of an international doctoral research school that will be established between HZDR and CIMERA, a nationally funded Center of Excellence in South Africa. The joint research will be centred on the need for novel approaches and technologies for mineral exploration and new approaches to geometallurgy in orebody modelling and resource utilization. Industrial exploration of the target ore body has commenced.
