PhD Scholarships in single cell and spatial -omics


The Western Australian cancer single cell consortium (https: // forrest- is a multidisciplinary team of genomic scientists, computational biologists, surgeons, oncologists, pathologists, cancer biologists and immunologists from all of the major universities, hospitals and medical research institutes across Perth. The consortium is generously funded by the Cancer Research Trust (https: // www. and in this year, with UWA we are now offering three co-funded PhD scholarships.

Applications are being sought from high achieving students for 3x PhD Scholarships of up to $35,000pa for 3.5years to undertake a research project using single cell and/or spatial -omics technologies.

The consortium is broadly using single cell and spatial profiling to better understand the tumour microenvironment, tumour heterogeneity, identify new biomarkers and better predict response to therapy and relapse. Publications to date are listed here: https: //

Students with degrees in any relevant field (genomics, bioinformatics, data science, computer science, mathematics, molecular cell biology and oncology) are welcome to apply.
