Remuneration: Scholarship awards provide a stipend of $33,000 AUD per annum (tax-free). Additional support will be available for computing/conference attendance
The Opportunity
Expressions of Interest for a PhD Scholarship with the Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Monash University. An opportunity is open to a suitable applicant to conduct a fully funded, full-time PhD within the Health Economics and Policy Evaluation Research (HEPER) Group, Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Monash University. The successful applicant will apply a Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) view to Cardiovascular Disease. The applicant will publish and create research evidence by building state-of-the-art health economic models that provide evidence on the cost- effectiveness of lifestyle and drug interventions. The applicant will be working with a diverse team of health economists, epidemiologists, and cardiologists.
The applicant will have access to a unique and internationally established research work in Health Economics and Cardiovascular Disease. Supervisors include internationally renowned health economists, research policy, and clinicians. The applicant will be supported through the funded NHMRC Ideas Grant initiative “A novel approach integrating genomics into the health economic modelling of therapeutics”. The applicant is expected to be located at the Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Monash University.
The successful applicant will be enrolled at Monash University and spend the majority of the time at the Monash Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (MIPS) under the supervision of Professor Zanfina Ademi - Professor, Health Economics Lead Lecturer, Centre for Medicine Use and Safety Theme, Monash Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences.
