The job
The Department of Cell Toxicology invites applications for a PhD
Researcher.
Your tasks
You work in a research project that has the aim to develop new hazard
indicators (cumulative and persistent toxicity equivalents (CTE and
PTE)) that have the potential to modernize PBT-assessment within
environmental risk assessment of chemicals
You will develop case studies for a better assessment of replacement
products using the CTE and PTE hazard indicators
You measure effects of environmental pollutants with high-throughput
cellular bioassays
You will perform high-throughput biodegradation experiments and couple to
products with cell assays
You present results at international conferences and prepare publications
in peer-reviewed scientific journals

Your profile
A Master in environmental sciences, biology, chemistry, bioanalysis,
(eco)toxicology, environmental system analysis, geoecology or related
areas
Research experience with in vitro bioassays, toxicology or
microbiology/biodegradation
Skills in IT and data evaluation/modelling
High degree of organisation and ability to work independently
Excellent interpersonal and oral/written communication skills (English
required, German desirable)
Motivation to work in an interdisciplinary team
