    The Laboratory of Experimental Hypertension led by Dr. Ivana Vaneckova , PhD., DSc. is focused on studying the mechanisms of blood pressure regulation and new therapies of hypertension (https: // www. fgu.cas.cz/en/departments/experimentalni-hypertenze).

    Research focus

  • Central and peripheral mechanisms contributing to blood pressure maintenance
  • Cardiovascular actions of new antidiabetics gliflozins in experimental hypertension and chronic kidney disease
  • Role of sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems in cardiovascular diseases
  • We are recruiting a highly motivated scientist for a

    PhD position in the Laboratory of Experimental Hypertension

    Responsibilities:

  • Independent research under supervision
  • Design of experiments, data analysis and their interpretation
  • Position Requirements:

  • Master´s diploma in physiology, medicine, (molecular) biology or related disciplines
  • Interest in animal physiology, prior experience with animal handling is advantageous but not required

  • Motivation to learn new methods

  • Fluency in written and spoken English, PC literacy
