  • The successful candidate will work in a highly interdisciplinary and collaborative environment. He/she will be located in the C2PM laboratory in the engineering school CPE Lyon. This recruitment offer is linked to the funding of an ANR PRC project (CASHPOM). The CP2M laboratory is internationally recognized for its leadership in organometallic chemistry and catalysis. The laboratory has all the necessary equipment to prepare and characterize supported catalysts and to study their reactivity (Schlenk equipment, glove boxes, ultra-vacuum ramps, GC-MS, IR, UV-visible spectrometers, liquid and solid NMR etc.)

    This PhD project aims at developing catalysts for the silylation of alkanes via a tandem reaction of dehydrogenation of alkanes to alkenes followed by hydrosilylation of the resulting alkenes. This project will therefore consist in developing original molecular complexes composed of non-noble metals supported by polyoxometallate units. These complexes will then be introduced into silicic matrices to obtain solid catalysts (heterogeneous catalysts). This project is thus at the interface between molecular/organometallic chemistry and homogeneous/heterogeneous catalysis. In this context, we are looking for a PhD student with skills and interests in molecular chemistry and catalysis.
