  • -Development of materials for optics (main task) -Optical features (secondary task) including: .Optical spectroscopy .Thermoluminescence .Lifetime measurements .Effect of doping and energy transfers

    The aim of this post-doctoral work (6 months) is to test materials exhibiting persistent luminescence sensitized by upconversion mechanisms (under near infrared excitation). A second part will be to test the possibilities of emission at original wavelengths of rare earth doped materials (for example aluminates at 2.3um for Tm3+) .

    Location in Paris at IRCP in the team of Dr Bruno Viana. The work will be carried out with the participation of a Post-doc of the team. The project is part of the ANR PERSIST on materials with persistent luminescence and furthermore new energy transfer routes will be studied.

    Eligibility criteria

    The candidate will have a strong background in the preparation of inorganic materials and in their structural characterization (by XRD, microscopies, etc.). The characterization methods included different visible and infrared measurements and efficiency determination. A good knowledge of the optical spectroscopic properties of rare earths is required.
