The electrochemical storage and conversion of energy is one of the key technologies for the realization of the energy transition and electromobility. As a partner of the "Center for Electrochemical Energy Storage Ulm - Karlsruhe" (CELEST), one of the world's largest research platforms in this field, Ulm University is involved in various research programs, such as the DFG-funded Cluster of Excellence POLiS. Our goal: to help shape the transformation to a climate-neutral society by developing high-performance battery storage systems that are sustainable, safe and cost-effective.
The CELEST team manages joint activities of Ulm University and the other CELEST partner institutions (Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, Center for Solar Energy and Hydrogen Research Baden-Württemberg) in the field of electrochemical energy storage and conversion, and it coordinates the participation in relevant programs and collaborative projects on national and international level. Emphasis is placed on technology transfer, science communication, project acquisition and project management.

Employment, paymentand benefits are provided according to public service regulations (TV-L EG 13). The position is fixed-term until December 31, 2025 and only under special circumstances suitable for part-time work.
The CELEST office has locations in Ulm and Karlsruhe. The place of work is Ulm. However, occasional travel between both offices will be required.
