Subjects Control theory and learning Description Multiple PhD positions are available in the group of Prof. Iannelli at the Institute for Systems Theory and Automatic Control (University of Stuttgart).
The research focus lies at the intersection between control theory and data science and possible topics include: data-based control, optimization, uncertainty quantification for sequential decision making; online learning; system identification.
The ideal candidates have: a degree in a relevant field, such as cybernetics, automation, electrical, mechanical, or aerospace engineering; a strong background in control and dynamical systems and/or machine learning subjects; curiosity to explore novel theoretical and algorithmic aspects of the topics above.
