Description
The ELIPSE group (https: // www. irit.fr/ELIPSE/site/) at the Toulouse Research Institute for Computer Science (IRIT, https:// irit.fr) focuses on Human- Computer Interaction. The team consists of about 30 members (researchers, professor, research engineers, PhD students).
ELIPSE is interested in the development of solutions that allow the use of large display spaces.
Such situations involve multiple devices of various sizes and nature: mobile devices, large screen, interactive table, immersive headset. The result is a dissemination of information on these different media.
To date, the user must memorize where he has placed the different information in these hybrid environments. Therefore, to go from one information to another, a significant search phase is required and can hinder the fluidity of the interaction.
The objective of the mission is therefore to develop interaction solutions based on the use of a tablet to allow quick access to information displayed in such a hybrid environment. An in-depth study of the existing system has been conducted and alternative solutions have been partially designed. The mission will be broken down into several steps:
Profile of the candidate
The position is open to anyone with a Master's degree in computer science or higher, with experience in 1) human-machine interface development in Java/C#, 2) low-fidelity and video prototyping, and 3) Android development.
At the end of the contract, an extension in the form of a fixed-term contract, hiring, thesis funding or post-doctorate may be considered.
