    Graduate Teaching Assistant (must hold a Diploma/Master's degree) for a full-time position (maternity leave replacement) at the Institute of Machine Learning

    Job Duties:

  • Independently conduct research and actively participate in collaborative research projects at the institute, particularly to develop, evaluate and apply machine learning methods (especially deep learning, with applications in bioinformatics, medicine, pharmaceutics, and autonomous driving)
  • Publish academic/scientific findings in renowned international journals and for conferences
  • Supervise students in seminars and projects; co-supervise Bachelor's and Master's theses
  • Be involved in teaching courses at the institute and managing the institute's administrative tasks
  • Your Qualifications:

  • The successful candidate must hold a Diploma/Master's degree (or equivalent qualification) in a relevant discipline (computer science, mathematics, bioinformatics, statistics or related field
  • Research orientation and strong motivation to make a dissertation
  • Theory and practice of machine learning, e.g.
  • Deep Learning
  • Reinforcement learning
  • Kernel methods
  • Probabilistic modeling
  • Outstanding skills in R and/or Python programming
  • Proficient in German and English (German level C1, English level B2)
