    Graduate Teaching Assistant (must hold a Diploma/Master's degree) for a full-time, four-year position at the Institute of Structural Lightweight Design

    Job Duties:

  • Conduct research in the field of
  • Strength and durability analysis of lightweight structures, their numerical optimization and experimental testing
  • Integration of mechatronic structural health monitoring systems and development of associated measurement systems and sensors
  • Support in the acquisition and administration of third-party funded projects
  • Teach university-level classes in the field of strength of materials and structural lightweight design, in particular conducting practical lab exercises
  • Co-supervise Bachelor's, Master's and Diploma theses
  • Your Qualifications:

  • The successful candidate must hold a Diploma/Master's degree in the field of mechanical engineering, mechatronics, polymer technology or aerospace engineering
  • Knowledge and experience in one or more of the following topics: strength of materials and structures, finite element methods, structural design and lightweight design, electrical measurement of mechanical quantities, structural component testing, non-destructive material design
  • Strong command of German and English both spoken and written (level B2)
