Offer Description

The engineer will be working with the two French laboratories, the LIS and the CCJ on setting up an ontological formalism for representing and querying the information produced as part of the Amidex EPI2DAP Project. This work will focus on three areas: the expression of spatio-temporal relationships between inscriptions, the representation of the epigraphic knowledge involved (currently expressed in XML/TEI-EpiDoc - Text Encoding Initiative) and compatibility with initiatives developed as part of OpenData (such as OWL- Time, SKOS or CIDOC-CRM) or projects by other teams (https: // epigraphy.info/news/2021/04/15/EpOntdocument.html). The formalism will be based on XML files and all the vocabularies already in use, and will propose an ontological representation of the knowledge and data present in the EpiCherchell database.
