The University of Luxembourg invites applications in the Department of Computer Science (https:// dcs.uni.lu) within its Faculty of Science, Technology and Medicine.
The successful candidate(s) will join the “ PCOG” group led by Prof. Dr. Pascal Bouvry in the Belval Campus of the University of Luxembourg. You will contribute to a joint research project on High-Performance Decomposition Algorithms for Combinatorial Optimisation and Machine Learning. The aim of this project is to closely collaborate with the University of Lorraine (France) to develop new approaches based on column generation and machine learning approaches to decompose large optimization/learning problems. In this context, your task will be to develop new scalable and distributed approaches using our in-house HPC platforms, i.e., two supercomputers (Aion and Iris).
Your roles will include:
Master degree in Computer Science
Strong mathematical and algorithmic background, especially in Mathematical Programming
