The position is part of the ERC Starting grant "ENFORCE" , funded within
the ERCCZ program of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the
Czech Republic.
The project aims to establish a synthesis method for selective engineering key
features of zeolite acid sites affecting the catalytic chemistry of interest
and to provide a rational strategy for the predictive design of acid
heterogeneous catalysts.
The successful applicant will focus on the preparation of structurally and
chemically diversified zeolites followed by thorough investigation of
structure – functionality –activity relationship in a set of useful processes.
Finances
This 4-year position will be funded from the Ministry of Education, Youth and
Sports of the Czech Republic. Monthly gross salary will be approximately
€1800, including social and health security.

Selection process
The candidates will be selected based on their CVs and invited for online
interview to present his/her master thesis and a scientific paper from an
area unrelated to his/her specialization (chosen by the interviewers,
approximately 5 minutes).

ENGLISH: Good
Skills/Qualifications
We are looking for a student with exceptional academic performance holding
or very close to completing Master degree in Chemistry.
Knowledge of the English language and ability to communicate within an
international team is essential.
Enthusiasm for research in zeolite chemistry is endorsed.
Beneficial: Background in Material Science; Publications in
international journals/attendance of international conferences.
