Assistant position at the Center for Marine Research in Rovinj, Laboratory for Marine Nanotechnology and Biotechnology, for work on the BlueBio HRZZ project: "Mussel Mitigation Feeds and Supply System Technoloical Development (MuMiFaST) - Mitigating the impact of anthropogrnic activities thanks to mussel cultivation and technological to the development of the food supply system", a workplace with special working condition.

Specific Requirements

In addiion to the general criteria for establishing an employment relationship from Article 39, paragraphs 4 and 6 Scientific Activity and Higher Education Act, candidates should meet the fllowing criteria: The total grade point average at the previous levels of study (undergraduate and graduate, i.e. integrated study) which ensures admission to the interdisciplinary doctoral study in Oceanology

Eligibility criteria

Doctoral degree (or equivalent) in the field of biology or interdisciplinary natural sciences.

Applications should include: resume, evidence of the required academic degree, appropriate diploma or certificate of completion of the study, a transcript of passed courses and GPA, e-mail contact of at least one person for a recommendation and other evidence that the conditions and additional criteria are fulfilled. Appointment to a Postdoctoral Fellow position is for a temporary period until the end of the project, but not longer than 2 years, with a probation period of 6 months.

Additional comments

With an applicant for the position of Doctoral Student (Assistant position) who has already been employed in the position of Doctoral Student (Assistant position) in the Republic of Croatia, the employment can be contracted only on the remaining time of up to five years.

A candidate who has already been employed as an assistant is required to submit previous contracts for working as an assistant.

Assistant is required to enroll in a postgraduate university study (doctoral study).

The employment includes a six-month trial period.

Selected candidates who have achieved their higher qualifications outside Croatia will be required, before the signing of the employment contract, to obtain the Ruling on the Recognition of Foreign Higher Educational Qualifications issued by the Agency for Science and Higher Education.
