Doctoral student position in the Division of Experimental Physics, Laboratory for Nuclear Physics, for research work in nuclear physics; for work on research of the symmetry energy in the nuclear equation of state. In addition to the general conditions for employment, applicants must meet the requirements stipulated in Article 43 in the Scientific Activity and Higher Education Act. In addition, the following material should be attached to the application form: resume, appropriate diploma or certificate of completion of the study, a transcript of passed courses and GPA, e-mail contact of at least one person for a recommendation, and other evidence that the conditions and additional criteria are fulfilled. Appointment to a professional position is for a temporary period of 5 years, with probation period of 6 months.

Physics: Master Degree or equivalent

ENGLISH: Good

The successful candidate should have a degree in physics (research oriented field) and GPA not lower than 80% of the maximum possible, i.e. to allow direct enrolment to a PhD studies.

Preference is given to candidates with affinity to experimental work and with the diploma topic in nuclear physics or related field, and active knowledge of written and spoken English.
