Title
Better understanding and management of bronchiectasis in children
Description
The burden of bronchiectasis, a chronic lung disease, in children is increasingly recognised locally and internationally. The latest (2021) international guidelines for management of children with bronchiectasis provided only conditional (weak) recommendations based on very low-quality evidence for most statements. We will establish a WA paediatric bronchiectasis cohort study to understand disease processes and identify therapeutic targets. Our research will directly address critical knowledge gaps and research priorities in paediatric bronchiectasis that will be critical to develop high-quality evidence to guide clinical practice.PhD or MPhil candidate sought
