PhD student position in Very Long Baseline Interferometry (VLBI) data calibration and analysis mainly using the Common Astronomy Software Applications (CASA) package. The primary objective of the current Ph. D. position is the development of a CASA pipeline that can be used to calibrate a substantial amount of VLBI data without the need of human inter vention. The Ph. D. candidate will also focus on the follow-up and scientific exploitation of data of sources which have high probability of being milli-lens systems, as well as sources which instead have been discarded as milli-lens candidates but they still make interesting scientific cases.Benefits

The successful candidate needs to have a Bachelor Degree and Master Degree in Physics (or related fields) and good programming skills. Moreoveor, the candidate has to be already enrolled in a PhD program.
