Application Deadline: 15/01/2023 00:00 - Europe/Brussels
Location: Multiple locations, see work locations below.
Type Of Contract: Temporary
Job Status: Full-time
Hours Per Week: 38
Eu Research Framework Programme: HE / MSCA
Marie Curie Grant Agreement Number: 101072903
We are seeking 12 highly motivated fellows eager to pursue a career in
science, obtain a PhD abroad and work in one of the three-year
research projects we are offering under the the DN- Marie Skłodowska-Curie
Actions call of the European Commission. The DN RepliFate focuses on the study
of DNA replication, its involvement in cell identity, cancer and inflammation.
Benefits
All researchers will be recruited under an employment contract that
includes social security coverage.
Monthly living allowance : 3,400 euro/month (€40,800/year); this
amount is then adjusted through the application of a country correction
coefficient to the living allowance of the country in which the researcher
is recruited. The country correction coefficients are indicated in Table 1
of the MSCA Work Programme
Monthly mobility allowance : 600 euro/month
Monthly family allowance , if applicable and depending on the family
situation: 660 euro/month.
Eligibility criteria
Fellows will be recruited through an international open call that aims at
being “open, efficient, transparent and supportive” as stated in the European
Code of Conduct for Recruitment. The process will seek merit-based
selection while guaranteeing gender balance, equality, inclusion and
transparency in line with the European Charter for Researchers
If you want to apply for one of our grants you must:
Comply with the mobility rule , meaning that they must not have
resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in the
country of the recruiting beneficiary for more than 12 months in the 3
years immediately before the recruitment date (see below () for
exceptions to this rule).
Comply with the doctoral candidate criteria , meaning that at the time
of recruitment by the hosting institution they have not been awarded a
doctoral degree.
Fulfil the requirements to be enrolled in a doctoral programme at the
hosting institution/country, and, if applicable, the specific eligibility
requirements at the hosting institutions.
Submit a complete application within the submission deadline through
the RepliFate electronic application system.
When checking compliance with the mobility rule, the refugee procedure will
not be considered as a period of residence in the country where the candidate
is applying. When all scores and evaluation criteria are equal, preference
will be given to candidates from under-represented groups, for example women,
and candidates with disabilities or those from refugee backgrounds.
Selection process
We will choose the candidates that fit the most in the different projects in
the following steps:
Eligibility check : our recruitment committee will check that each
application is complete and that applicants fulfil the eligibility
criteria described in the previous section.
Remote Evaluation : each eligible application will be assessed
independently by the principal investigators of our network, according to
the project interests indicated by the applicants. The principal
investigators will select up to four candidates per position to pass
through to the following stage.
Online interviews : short-listed candidates will be invited for an
online interview. Those who have been positively evaluated but not
initially called for interviews will be put on a reserve list. Short-
listed candidates will be interviewed by their potential
supervisor (i.e. the supervisor responsible for the research project of
interest), two additional supervisors from the network, a member of
the recruitment committee , and a representative from the associated
partners from the non-academic sector.
Notification of the selection outcomes : our recruitment committee
will notify short-listed candidates of the outcome, and those selected
will be put in touch with the corresponding principal investigator and the
HR Department of the hosting institution to initiate the hiring procedure.
Applicants who have not been successful but who have received a positive
evaluation will be put on a waiting list to cover possible
renunciations and future positions.

of two positions and provide the following information (in English):
Personal information , such as first name, date of birth, nationality
and contact details.
Motivation letter (maximum 2 pages) highlighting your research
experience and academic achievements and explaining why you are interested
in RepliFate and in the selected research projects.
Curriculum vitae , including details on education and work
experiences.

show the grades attained in exam periods, when applicable, and evidence
that the required degree will be obtained by the expected time of
recruitment if it has not already been awarded.
Any additional files considered relevant to the application.
At least two recommendation letters from university lecturers or
scientists who are familiar with your academic work and who can judge your
potential as a predoctoral researcher. Applicants will be responsible
for ensuring that referees submit these letters.
